The cooperation between Myszkow and Czech Koprivnice has been ongoing for a quarter of a century.
On August 24, 1997, the then mayors of Myszkow, Zygmunt Ratman, and Koprivnice, Josel Jaluvka, signed a partnership agreement between our cities in the Czech Republic, which continues to this day.
The partnership agreement included cooperation in the fields of culture, sports, economy, and the exchange of experiences between Myszkow and Koprivnice.
Maintaining the long-standing cooperation, Mayor Włodzimierz Żak, along with 3 runners from Myszkow, visited our Czech friends last weekend. Mayor Żak met with the Mayor of Koprivnice, Miroslav Kopecny, and participated in the unveiling of a monument dedicated to Emil Zatopek, a prominent Czech runner born in Koprivnice and a four-time Olympic champion. The runners from Myszkow, on the other hand, took part in the 20th edition of the E. Zatopek Run.
We look forward to further fruitful cooperation.
