60,000 PLN for restructuring a small farm – application process has started.

Regional branches of ARiMR have started accepting applications for support for the restructuring of small farms. To receive a non-refundable grant of 60,000 PLN, financed from the budget of the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, you can apply from May 16 to July 14, 2022.

Farmers who are interested in this form of support should own a farm covering at least 1 hectare of agricultural land or property used for production in the scope of special agricultural production sectors. The economic size of such a farm must be less than 13,000 euros.

Individuals who want to apply for the grant can be insured in KRUS (Agricultural Social Insurance Fund) or ZUS (Social Insurance Institution). There is also no ban on simultaneously running a business or working in a different job. It is important that at least 25% of the income or revenue earned by the applicant comes from agricultural activities.

It is also worth noting that beneficiaries of the following mechanisms cannot apply for this support: “Facilitating the Start for Young Farmers”, “Modernization of Agricultural Holdings”, “Diversification towards Non-Agricultural Activities”, “Implementation of Local Development Strategies” covered under the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013, as well as “Modernization of Agricultural Holdings”, “Grants for Starting Non-Agricultural Business Activities”, “Grants for Young Farmers” under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.

A small farm restructuring can receive up to 60,000 PLN. This amount is paid in two installments – 80% of the grant is given after meeting the conditions specified in the decision on granting the assistance, and the remaining 20% – after successful implementation of the business plan.

The full support must be allocated to the agricultural activities conducted on the farm or preparing for the sale of agricultural products produced on the farm. At least 80% of the amount must be spent on fixed assets, including: purchase of new agricultural machinery, equipment, and facilities, as well as construction, reconstruction, or renovation of buildings used for agricultural production; acquisition of agricultural land or basic livestock; establishment of orchards or plantations of perennial plants.

Applications can be submitted from May 16 to July 14, 2022, at the regional branches of the Agency – in person, by registered mail sent from a Polish Post Office branch, or electronically via the ePUAP submission box.
