85 years ago, the synagogue in Zielona Góra burned down. From it, only the Torah and a carafe with the Star of David remained.

On November 10, 1938, Nazis – upon the initiative of the state, Nazi authorities of Germany – set fire to the synagogue in Grünberg, the pre-war Zielona Góra. Throughout Germany, during the Kristallnacht, Nazi militias murdered over 90 Jews, burned over 170 synagogues, and destroyed thousands of Jewish-owned shops.
