A transit center will be built at Dworzec Square.

On August 29, the Mayor of Myszków, Włodzimierz Żak, the Director of the Office of the Union of Municipalities and Districts of the Northern Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship, Wojciech Ostaszewski, the Mayor of Przyrów Municipality and Member of the Board of the Union of Municipalities and Districts of the Northern Subregion of the Silesian Voivodeship, Robert Nowak, the Starosta of Myszków County, Piotr Kołodziejczyk, and the Member of the Board of Myszków County, Jarosław Kumor, signed a partnership agreement for the implementation of the project “Interchange Center at Myszków Railway Station.”

The interchange center will be located at Plac Dworcowy and will provide convenient transportation transfers. The center will include a parking lot for 40 cars and a bus station, as well as two bus stops and two parking spaces. Two floor fountains will be built, dividing Plac Dworcowy into three zones: the entrance to the station and two recreational areas. Pocket parks will be designed on the sides of the PKP station building, and amenities such as benches, bike racks, and trash cans will be placed in the green spaces. The parks will serve as open waiting areas for travelers. Along the southern border of the bus station, two rows of modular shelters with incorporated green elements and lighting will be installed.

The project will be implemented as part of the European Funds for Silesia program for the years 2021-2027. The municipality will apply for funding, and the project is planned to be carried out between 2025-2026.
