For over two weeks, there have been two paid parking zones operating. One of them is the Dworcowy Square and Kościuszki Street, the other is Kwiatkowskiego Street. The aim of the whole initiative was to create conditions for residents for “normal” parking in the city center and to respond to suggestions and requests from residents.
The paid parking zone allowed to alleviate the traffic in the city center, which was effectively caused by cars left in these places all day. Even today, some people find it difficult to get used to this paid zone and often feel it may be Parking, but most of them already see the possibility of parking at any time of the day.
In the coming days, information boards about the amount of fees will be added to the information boards.
The revenue from parking fees from January 2 to January 21, 2009, amounted to PLN 8,270.10.
Costs related to the implementation of the parking zone:
– information signs – PLN 5,195
– parking tickets and cards – PLN 7,908.04
– fiscal cash registers (3 pieces) – PLN 3,729.54 (after refund from the Tax Office of PLN 2,772.00) – PLN 957.54
– commission for sold cards – PLN 658
People who are reluctant to approach the paid parking zone can park at other nearby paid parking lots, such as: ul. 3 Maja, PCK, Słowackiego (2), Wyszyńskiego.
