The Minister of Family and Social Policy has verified and approved the applications from municipalities and counties within the “Personal Assistant for Persons with Disabilities” program for Territorial Self-Government Units – 2024 edition. The self-governments in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship will receive nearly PLN 69.5 million for the implementation of the program. The “Personal Assistant for Persons with Disabilities” program for Territorial Self-Government Units – 2024 edition is financed from the Solidarity Fund – a state special purpose fund. Below is a list of applications approved by the Minister of Family and Social Policy.
Mazowieckie Voivodeship has received funding of PLN 69,437,835.05 for the implementation of the program. The support will reach 198 municipalities (the amount includes service costs).
The transfer of financial resources from the program will take place based on the agreement concluded within 30 days from the signing of the agreement between the Voivode of Mazowieckie and the Minister of Family and Social Policy.
The program aims to popularize the services of an assistant, thus increasing the chances of disabled people to lead a more independent and active life.
The program is aimed at people with significant or moderate disabilities, as well as disabled people with equivalent opinions and children up to the age of 16 with disability opinions, including indications of the need for constant or long-term care or assistance from another person due to significantly limited ability to live independently, as well as the need for constant involvement of the child’s guardian in the process of their treatment, rehabilitation, and education.
Among the municipalities that received funding are Belsk Duży, Białobrzegi, Błędów, Borkowice, Chlewiska, Garbatka-Letnisko, Głowaczów, Iłża, Jastrząb, Jastrzębia, Jdlińsk, Klwów, Kowala, Kozienice, Orońsko, Pionki, Radom, Sienno, Wolanów, and Zakrzew.
