On November 14, 2017, at the City Cultural Center in Myszków, the Municipal Dance Competition “Beautiful our whole Poland” took place under the patronage of the Mayor of the City of Myszków, organized by Kindergarten No. 1 “BAJKA”. Preschoolers from Myszków participated in the folk dance competition. 7 groups in the category of 6-5 year olds presented their dance skills. The children performed Polish folk dances such as “Krakowiak”, “Miotlarz”, “Koziorajka”, “Owczareczek”, and the dance “Kogel-Mogel”. In addition to the competition, children from the “Żabki” group performed a “Polonaise” dance.
The dancing preschoolers amazed the audience and the judges with their skills and talent. They showed that it is worth nurturing folk traditions from a young age. The Competition Committee consisting of Ms. Ewelina Pietrakowska, Ms. Renata Lewandowska, and Ms. Katarzyna Miklas selected the winners:
1st place – Kindergarten No. 2
2nd place – Kindergarten No. 1 Bajka
3rd place – Kindergarten No. 3 with Integrative Departments, Primary School No. 2 named after Pope John Paul II in Myszków, Kindergarten No. 4
Honorable mention – Preschool Department at Primary School No. 2
The dance groups received prizes and diplomas. The folk dance competition turned out to be a beautiful spectacle, providing valuable experiences for teachers and pleasant artistic experiences for all viewers. The organizers thank all the preschoolers for participating in the competition, the teachers for their hard work in preparing the performances, and the audience for their support and applause during the performances.
