Caritas Diocese of Ełk Volunteer Gala. “Goodness returns”

The Mayor of the Municipality of Ełk, Tomasz Osewski, participated in the solemn Volunteer Gala of Caritas of the Diocese of Ełk, which took place at the Ełk Cultural Center. This event, as a token of appreciation for volunteer work, brought together representatives from various backgrounds, including young people who are actively involved in helping others on a daily basis. During his speech, Mayor Osewski expressed great appreciation for the young volunteers, who passionately and enthusiastically assist those in need. – I appreciate the fact that young people selflessly help others, dedicating their time and energy. This is evidence that the younger generation is not indifferent to the fate of others – said the Mayor. Tomasz Osewski emphasized the importance of volunteering in building social bonds and shaping attitudes of empathy and compassion. He pointed out that the good that comes from helping always returns to us, creating stronger, more united communities. The Mayor also highlighted the need for recognizing the work of volunteers who are involved in various initiatives, often without expecting anything in return. – The work of volunteers is not just about helping, it is also an inspiration for others to get involved in actions for the common good – he added. The event at the Ełk Cultural Center was not only an opportunity for appreciation, but also a moment of reflection on the importance of volunteering in building a society based on mutual respect and assistance. The gala was embellished with speeches and presentations that showcased the richness of Caritas’ activities in the region and the involvement of individuals who support others through their work.
