Catalan training from Erasmus program

From January 23-27, a group of seven teachers from Primary School No. 4 in Myszkow, along with the principal Jacek Wosiem, participated in a one-week STEM@School training in Barcelona as part of the Erasmus+ program. The course was made possible thanks to the support of the Mayor of Myszkow, Wlodzimierz Żak.

During the training, teachers enhanced their competencies that will enable them to introduce innovative teaching techniques in line with the STEM ideology, combining various fields of science with engineering, creativity development, and critical thinking.

The mobility training was organized to meet the Erasmus+ KA1 project goals for 2022-2027, which is currently being implemented by the school. The course organized by Cappadocia Education included 3 modules: ICT in education, Smart classroom, and STEM+Art, conducted over 40 teaching hours.

After completing the classes, the group of teachers also visited the incredibly charming and historic sites of Barcelona and its surroundings. They allowed them to learn about the history and architecture of this beautiful city.

In conclusion, the STEMandSchool course in the capital of Catalonia proved to be an extremely valuable experience, enabling the development of language skills, expanding innovative work methods, and providing the opportunity to acquire a wealth of knowledge and experience. The methods learned will contribute to conducting classes in a modern way. Students will be able to benefit from STEM education, such as the opportunity to work on tasks related to robotics or programming projects. Through STEM, students will develop key skills, including problem-solving, creativity, critical analysis, teamwork, independent thinking, initiative, communication, and digital skills.

Teachers who participated in the course as part of the Erasmus+ KA1 project returned to the country with great satisfaction and pride. The new skills will undoubtedly contribute to raising the quality of work at Primary School No. 4 in Myszkow.
