Collision with a moose in Karpy.

The Dacia driver hit a moose, which suddenly ran onto the road. Fortunately, the 65-year-old driver did not sustain any injuries. The incident took place yesterday around 18:30 in Karpiu, on national road number 74. “As established by the officers, the driver of the Dacia vehicle, a 65-year-old resident of Zamość, hit a moose that suddenly ran onto the road while driving on the national road. As a result of the collision, the animal fell onto the road. The driver did not require medical assistance, was traveling alone, and was sober,” informs Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło, a spokesperson for the Zamość police. “We appeal for caution on the road. When approaching forested areas or open fields, wild animals may suddenly run onto the road. In such places, let us exercise particular caution, slow down, and attentively observe the roadside. By driving more slowly, we have the possibility of a quick, appropriate, and safe reaction. Pay attention to warning signs that inform us of potential dangers,” appeals Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło.
