On March 5th, the jubilee X Lower Silesian Local Government Congress took place in Wrocław under the leading slogan “Dynamic region – modern local government”. During the event, topics related to the challenges facing local governments in the near future were discussed. The municipality of Brzeg Dolny was represented by Deputy Mayor Artur Michałek, while the Wołów County was represented by Deputy Starosta Jarosław Iskra. The proceedings were divided into three thematic panels. The main themes were the significant and numerous changes in local government, issues related to the development of railways in the region, and the importance of European funds for local governments.
