Last Sunday, December 13th, a ceremony awarding prizes for ecological themed art competitions took place at the City Cultural Center. The event was funded and hosted by the Mayor of Myszkow, Janusz Romaniuk.
The competitions “Preschooler cleans up after himself” and “City of Myszkow is a friend of the younger generation” were organized for the third time by the Department of Municipal Infrastructure and Investments. They were aimed at children and youth in different age groups, with the main goal being to deepen their sensitivity not only to the beauty that surrounds us, but above all to taking care of it. All the winners received certificates of recognition and material prizes. For preschoolers, these were educational games, and for school youth, MP3 players.
“I realize that such a high interest in the competition would not have been possible without the involvement of teachers, to whom I am very grateful,” said Mayor Romaniuk in his speech. “I warmly congratulate all the laureates, and on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas holidays, I extend my warmest wishes to everyone”.
The ceremony concluded with a musical-theatrical performance “Our beautiful world is worth love” written by Henryka Cholędzyk and performed by the reliable and excellent “Trójeczka” from School No. 3 and the Music School in Myszkow. A very pleasant accent was the mayor’s presentation of flowers to the directors of the show: Renata Cholewka, Urszula Kozioł, Jolanta Huras, and the music coordinator Andrzej Nowak.
The event was also co-organized by the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports of the City Hall, as well as the Department of City Promotion.
