On Tuesday, December 4, the XXVI Regional Table Tennis Tournament took place at the Kornel Makuszyński Special Schools Complex in Gębice. As a result of the competition, the representative team of the Nadnotecko-Pilski Region was selected for the Provincial Table Tennis Tournament. This is one of many events that is co-financed from the county budget, as part of the county events calendar. The competition was observed by the head of the Education Department of the County Office in Czarnków, Ryszard Jabłonowski. The main goal of the tournament is the integration of intellectually disabled individuals from different schools and centers. Thanks to such meetings, students break down their barriers and have the opportunity to showcase their sporting skills at the regional level. The following institutions participated in this year’s edition: Józef Noje Schools Complex in Czarnków, Kornel Makuszyński Special Schools Complex in Gębice, Provincial Governmental Center for Education and Therapy in Stara Łubianka, Janusz Korczak Special Educational and Care Center in Wągrowiec. There were 32 participants in the competition. The tournament was divided into younger and older categories for girls and boys. The results are as follows: Younger girls: 1. Agata Danza SOSW in Piła; 2. Natalia Dąbrowska SOSW Wągrowiec; 3. Sońka Anna WSCEiT Stara Łubianka. Older girls: 1. Gabriela Zabrocka WSCEiT Stara Łubianka; 2. Weronika Musiałowska SOSW Wągrowiec; 3. Patrycja Dembińska ZSS in Gębice. Younger boys: 1. Jakub Rerek WSCEiT Stara Łubianka 2. Gabriel Pluta SOSW Piła; 3. Dominik Kaczmarek WSCEiT Stara Łubianka. Older boys: 1. Kacper Szymanowski ZSS in Gębice; 2. Paweł Zastróżny ZSS in Gębice; 3. Piotr Nowak ZSS in Gębice. The first place teams in the team rankings received trophies: – younger girls category: SOSW Piła; – older girls category: WSCEiT Stara Łubianka; – younger boys category: WSCEiT Stara Łubianka; – older boys category: ZSS Gębice.
