[…] You ask, my son, where she is and what she is like? She lies in an immeasurable land. She is in every faithful heart of a Pole, who fought, suffered, and believed in her. […] Antoni Słonimowski “Poland” “Heart for Courage” Municipal Kindergarten No. 1 “Fairy Tale World” in Czarnków once again participated in the nationwide action “Heart for Courage”, organized by the Foundation for the Memory of Nations. As part of this initiative, children prepared Christmas cards, which were sent to WWII veterans. The aim of the campaign is to cultivate the memory of WWII participants and provide historical and patriotic education. “Heart for Courage” is an undertaking giving children the opportunity to express their gratitude and respect for the heroes who fought for a free and independent Poland with their courage and sacrifice. Thanks to them, we can enjoy life in a free country, where preschoolers have the opportunity for carefree childhood – playing, singing, dancing, and gaining knowledge. Participation in the campaign was also a valuable, emotional lesson for the youngest, developing empathy, gratitude, and love for the homeland. In this symbolic way, children expressed thanks and holiday wishes to the combatants, remembering their unwavering spirit and sacrifice. Milena KamińskaSylwia Krzemińska
