The Provincial Crisis Management Center in Katowice warns residents of the Silesian Voivodeship that due to the forecasted continued heavy rainfall with a stormy character, rapid increases in water levels in the High Water Zones are expected in the catchment area of the Mała Wisła, Soła, Przemsza, and Pszczynka rivers, occasionally above the warning levels. Locally, on small tributaries, there is a possibility of exceeding the alarm levels.
Importance of the warning: from 12:00 on June 24, 2009 to 06:00 on June 25, 2009
Effects: Danger of being near river banks, threat to flood-prone areas, hindrance to hydro-technical works in riverbeds.
