The 78th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II was commemorated with ceremonies at the Monument to the Fallen for the Land of Myszków. The ceremony was hosted by the Mayor of Myszków, Włodzimierz Żak.
Tribute to our fallen heroes was paid by veterans, school youth, and city residents. Lieutenant Edward Homik delivered a commemorative speech. Delegations laid flowers at the monument: Mayor of Myszków, Włodzimierz Żak, along with deputy Iwona Franelak, Secretary of the City Office Sławomir Matyja, and city councilor Robert Czerwiki.
On behalf of the County, flowers were laid by the Chairman of the County Council, Andrzej Jastrzębski, and member of the Board, Rafał Kępski, County Police Commander, Jacek Kurdybelski, Deputy County Commander of the State Fire Service, Sebastian Jurczyk, and students from Public Schools No. 3 and 5. The ceremony was completed with a performance by the Military Squadron Band.
