The 68th anniversary of the end of World War II was commemorated on Wednesday by war veterans, local authorities of the city and district, and students from schools in Myszków.
Tribute to the fallen was paid by laying flowers at all three monuments commemorating the people who fought in the deadliest of wars.
– This last of wars, which touched us so horribly, still evokes our emotions. The future belongs to you, the young generation, and the most important subject of that future should be the human being and their inalienable right to life – said Mayor Włodzimierz Żak, concluding the ceremonies of the 68th anniversary of the end of World War II.
