Message – provision of postal services

Dear Sir/Madam,

Due to the increasing number of complaints about the Polish Post Office in Myszkow and the growing dissatisfaction of the residents of Myszkow with its services, I am forced to take appropriate steps.

The fact that the Polish Post Office has a monopoly on postal services does not exempt it, on the contrary, it imposes an obligation on it to provide these services properly.

In order to ensure the proper quality of the services provided, we included provisions on penalties in the announced tender for the provision of postal services, which would discipline the entity performing the service. Unfortunately, this resulted in a lack of offers in the tender.

Failure to fulfill its task, both towards the residents of Myszkow and the City Hall, leads to many unpleasant random situations, and in our case, failure to deliver official documents within the statutory deadline or failure to deliver documents at all, may result in administrative proceedings or financial losses for the city or residents.

Therefore, I have decided to send a petition to the Members of the Silesian Voivodeship Parliament to take action to enable us all to communicate normally, and in the future, to introduce legislative solutions that will prevent similar situations.

Mayor of the City of Myszkow
Włodzimierz Żak
