From January 31, 2023, farmers who are planning investments related to irrigation or the use of green energy sources on their farms will be able to apply for financial support. The application rounds will be carried out as part of the “Modernization of Agricultural Holdings” measure under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.
Support in the irrigation area on the farm
Support in the area of E (irrigation on the farm) will be granted to farmers in the form of a refund of part of the eligible costs incurred for the planned investment. This can include: the creation of new irrigation systems, improvement of existing irrigation installations, or improvement of irrigation installations combined with an expansion of the irrigated area. The amount of aid is PLN 100,000, and the level of support is 60% of the eligible costs for operations carried out by a “young farmer” or 50% of the eligible costs in other cases. This limit is not combined with limits in other areas funded under the “Modernization of Agricultural Holdings”, i.e. A (piglet production), B (dairy cow production), C (beef cattle production), D (innovations), and F (green energy).
Refund of investment costs in the green energy area on the farm
As part of the “Modernization of Agricultural Holdings” measure, ARiMR is launching a new area of support – Green Energy on the Farm (area F). In this case, farmers will be able to receive support for the installation of photovoltaic panels on roofs, provided they are not made of asbestos, and if the supported devices are located on cultivated agricultural land. The installation of heat pumps will also be eligible for funding.
It is essential that the production of electricity by the supported devices is tailored to the energy consumption in the farm. The total power of these devices must not exceed 50 kilowatts (kW), with the power used for single-family residential buildings not exceeding 10 kW and not exceeding 20% of the total power of the devices.
The aid will be granted in the form of a refund of part of the eligible costs, which include costs such as: purchase of equipment for generating electricity from solar radiation and its storage, construction or purchase of technical infrastructure elements necessary for the installation of these devices, or purchase of heat pumps.
The amount of aid is PLN 150,000. Similarly to the irrigation area on the farm, in the case of investments in green energy sources, the standard level of support is 50% of the eligible costs, and for the “young farmer” – 60%. The limit used in area F is not combined with limits in other areas funded under the “Modernization of Agricultural Holdings”.
When and where can you submit an application?
Applications in both areas (E – irrigation and F – green energy) can be submitted from January 31 to March 1, 2023.
