For the 21st time in Kopřivnice, the twinned city of Myszków, the Emil Zátopek Race took place. As every year, runners from Myszków received an invitation to participate in this iconic race. Myszków, led by Mayor Włodzimierz Żak, was represented by Zbigniew Adamowski, Marek Fajer, Adrian Kotarba, and Piotr Magiera. All four of our runners completed the half marathon, bringing back many unforgettable experiences from Kopřivnice.
Emil Zátopek is a Czech runner who was born in Kopřivnice. He is a four-time Olympic gold medalist, three-time European champion, multiple Czechoslovak champion, and numerous world record holder. He is considered one of the greatest athletes of all time.
