Last Friday, April 22, at the Warsaw School of Economics, during the 5th Village Forum, the results of the 2015/2016 Report “Village on 5! Good practices in servicing entrepreneurs” were presented. Out of 656 municipalities that were surveyed, only 18 received the title “Village on 5!”. Among the narrow group of winners, Myszkow was ranked 9th. The Mayor of Myszkow, Włodzimierz Żak, received the award from the university authorities.
The research was carried out to assess the quality of electronic customer service by municipal offices in Poland. The main group of customers, on whom the study focused, were potential entrepreneurs and investors. However, it also covered a wider range of electronic services provided by individual offices, and was related to the broader socio-economic aspects of the functioning of the surveyed local government units.
The municipalities most attractive for investments in Poland were selected for the study, based on the ranking of Potential Investment Attractiveness for the National Economy – PAI, developed by the Institute of Enterprise of the Warsaw School of Economics. From all municipalities classified within the PAI ranking, the “Village on 5!” survey included municipalities that received the highest classes of potential investment attractiveness, i.e. classes A and B. In total, the study sample included 656 municipalities, which represents about 26% of the total number of 2478 municipalities in Poland.
