Since September 1, 2017, the National Centre for Supporting Agriculture (KOWR) has started its operations, replacing two agricultural agencies: the Agricultural Market Agency and the Agency for Agricultural Real Estate.
These changes aim to reduce the number of institutions, limit the costs of their operation, and improve the quality of service for beneficiaries and contractors. Tasks related to rural development have been transferred to KOWR, while the remaining tasks have been taken over by the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR), which has become the only paying agency for the Common Agricultural Policy in Poland.
