Nursery school is like a fairy tale.

On May 15 and 16, 2015, Kindergarten No. 1 in Myszków solemnly celebrated its 70th anniversary and was given the name “Bajka”. The ceremony was attended by invited guests: Włodzimierz Żak – Mayor of Myszków, Iwona Franelak – Deputy Mayor of Myszków, Tadeusz Żesławski – Deputy Superintendent of Education in Katowice, Jerzy Woszczyk – Chairman of the City Council, Marzanna Wieczorek – Head of MZEASiP, Jolanta Kempa – Deputy Head of MZEASiP, Jacek Trynda – Chairman of the Education Committee, Mirosława Gajda – Director of the City Library, Aleksandra Pindych – Director of MDK, Jadwiga Mielczarek – Consultant of WOM in Częstochowa, Anna Kotra – director of the kindergarten from 1990-2006, Elżbieta Matysiewicz – President of the Myszków Housing Cooperative in Myszków. Among the guests were retired kindergarten employees, its graduates, directors and teachers from Myszków schools and kindergartens, kindergarten fairy-tale representatives from the “Smurfs”, “Apple”, “Frogs”, “Butterflies”, “Dwarfs”, “Squirrels”, “Blueberries” groups, as well as representatives of the local press, parents, and most importantly children and kindergarten staff. After presenting the historical outline of the kindergarten and justifying the choice of the name “Bajka”, the invited guests watching a multimedia presentation could see how Kindergarten No. 1 in Myszków changed over 70 years. The preschoolers also presented their skills. The artistic program performed by children from the older groups was a colorful, sung and danced meeting of characters from the most popular fairy tales: fairies, dwarfs, bears, and builders who “rebuilt the kindergarten anew.” The preschoolers made a solemn pledge. The Mayor of Myszków and the Chairman of the City Council in Myszków read and handed over to the director Barbara Cupiał the Act of Naming the Kindergarten No. 1 in Myszków “Bajka”, after which the ribbon was cut on the commemorative plaque with the participation of children and parent representative Mrs. Anna Adamowska. There were speeches by guests, the presentation of flowers, congratulatory letters, and wishes. As a token of gratitude for participating in this special day, all guests and parents were given commemorative statuettes and certificates of thanks. This day will long be remembered, and the years spent in “Bajka” will be a memory for children of all that is good, wise, and noble.
