On the 83rd anniversary of the outbreak of World War II

On September 1st, at noon, ceremonies commemorating the 83rd anniversary of the outbreak of World War II took place at the Monument to the Fallen for the Land of Myszków. The commemorative speech was delivered by the Mayor of the City of Myszków, Włodzimierz Żak. “The memory of September 1st should not fade away, but it is primarily on your shoulders, dear students, to ensure that war never knocks on our doors again,” said the mayor, addressing the gathered youth.

The event was attended by delegations from primary schools No. 3 and 5, representatives of the municipality and the county, including: Mayor of the City of Myszków, Włodzimierz Żak, Deputy Mayor Iwona Franelak, Secretary of the City Hall Sławomir Matyi, City Council members Beata Jakubiec-Bartnik, Halina Skorek-Kawka, Jacek Trynda, County Governor of Myszków Piotr Kołodziejczyk, Chairman of the County Council Wojciech Picheta, Board member Janusz Romaniuk, Chief of the County Police in Myszków, Inspector Marcin Lemański, Chief of the County Fire Brigade, Senior Brigadier Sergiusz Wiśniewski. The delegations laid flowers, honoring the memory of those who died in World War II. The ceremonies were complemented by a performance by the Military Squadron Band.
