On the 98th anniversary of Independence Regained

– Because what we really want is a peaceful and safe tomorrow, responsible politics in our country and in our small homelands, taking care of public finances, promoting good and faith in people. Is such a scenario possible? Yes. When? Perhaps, contrary to appearances, the recipe is simple and contained in the words of a nursery rhyme that goes “We are Polish and Polak, a cool girl and a guy, we love Poland with all our might, we want you to love her too” – said Mayor of the City Włodzimierz Żak under the Monument to the Fallen for the Land of Myszków during the National Independence Day ceremony.
This year’s celebrations began, as every year, with a holy mass at the church of St. Stanisław BM, celebrated by Father Stefan Jachimczak. The ceremony was attended by schools, representatives of associations, organizations, municipal institutions, city and county councilors, craftsmen and entrepreneurs, firefighters and veterans, represented by standard bearers. The attendees could also listen to speeches by Deputy Voivode of Silesia Mariusz Trepka, Councilor of the Regional Assembly Krystyna Jasińska, and Starost of Myszków County Dariusz Lasecki. A letter from MEP Jadwiga Wiśniewska was read by Szymon Gruszka. The ceremony was complemented by a mini recital by Eskadra. As usual, the musical accompaniment was provided by the OSP orchestra from Mrzygłód.
