Nursery School No. 1 in Myszków was the organizer of the Municipal Recitation Contest entitled “Beautiful all of our Poland”, which took place on 06.11.2014 at the House of Culture.
The aim of the contest was to awaken patriotic feelings, sensitise children to the beauty of our homeland, popularize poetry for children and integrate preschoolers.
The ceremony was attended by invited Guests: Mrs. Jolanta Kempa – Deputy Manager of the Municipal Economic and Administrative School and Kindergarten Team, Parents, Grandparents, Teachers.
The participants of the contest were judged by the Jury composed of: 1. Mrs. Bożena Kwiatkowska – Polish language teacher at Primary School No. 5 2. Mrs. Renata Lewandowska – Artistic Director of the House of Culture 3. Mrs. Agnieszka Toruńska – Representative of the Parents’ Council of Nursery School No. 1
A total of 13 participants were registered for the contest. The most popular poem turned out to be Cz. Janczarski’s “What is Poland”, which was recited four times.
The whole ceremony was additionally enriched by an artistic program prepared by children from Nursery School No. 1. The contest began with a “Polonaise” performed by children from the “Dwarfs” group. During breaks between the recited poems, children from the “Apples” group danced a medley of Silesian dances and sang the song “Poland”, while the 5-year-olds from the “Smurfs” group danced the “Krakowiak”.
During the Jury deliberations, children could play with rhythmic music and integrate with each other.
After difficult deliberations, the Jury selected the winners: 1ST PLACE Lena Strzelczyk, 5 years old from Nursery School No. 4 for the poem “Homeland” 2ND PLACE Lena Gęsikowska, 5 years old from Nursery School No. 5 for the poem by M. Konopnicka “What the children saw on the way” 3RD PLACE Patryk Dyl, 6 years old from Nursery School No. 3 with Integration Departments for the poem by Cz. Janczarski “What is Poland” The other participants of the contest received diplomas and books.
