The Foundation for Local Democracy Development was selected in a competition announced by the Intermediate Body for the ROP WSL – Provincial Labor Office in Katowice to implement the project “Starting your own business as a chance for employment”.
The project is implemented as part of action 7.3. Support for individuals intending to start a business under sub-measure 7.3.3. Promotion of employment within the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Voivodeship for the years 2014-2020 (European Social Fund).
The main goal of the project is to launch business activities in the Silesian Voivodeship by 30 individuals (13 women and 17 men) over 50 years old, unemployed or economically inactive, residing in one of the 11 Silesian counties where the labor market situation is relatively most difficult (Bytom County, Piekary Śląskie County, Siemianowice Śląskie County, Świętochłowice County, Będzin County, Zawiercie County, Sosnowiec County, Żywiec County, Częstochowa County, Kłobuck County, Myszków County).
Planned activities in the project include:
– Training and advisory before starting a business
– Grants for starting a business (grant amount: max. PLN 22,700)
– Bridge support in the form of financial and training-advisory support
– Financial support for additional professional training/courses
