Despite months of conversations with residents, scientists, and local authorities about designating social forests and better nature protection, State Forests continue intense logging of the oldest and most valuable parts of forests around Bielsko-Biała, including near the peak of Szyndzielnia. Over 150-year-old beech trees and 130-year-old maples are falling under the saws, sparking outrage and opposition from the local community and experts.
