Photo of the Year 2023! Vernissage on Friday.

The Zamojskie Towarzystwo Fotograficzne, Zamojski Dom Kultury, and Galeria Fotografii Ratusz invite all photography enthusiasts to the official opening of the post-competition exhibition “Zdjęcie Roku 2023” in the adult category. The vernissage, during which awards and distinctions will be presented, will take place next Friday (December 15) at 16:30 in Galeria Fotografii Ratusz (Rynek Wielki 13). The competition was open to all photographers and took place in two categories: youth and adults. A total of 140 submissions were received, amounting to 366 photographs. The regulatory criteria were met by 308 photographs in the adult category. The works were evaluated by a commission consisting of: Andrzej Pogudz – Jury Chairman, photographer, president of Zamojskie Towarzystwo Fotograficzne, Dariusz Łukasik – Jury member, visual artist, employee of Zamojski Dom Kultury, Wojciech Kapuściński – Jury member, photographer, vice president of Zamojskie Towarzystwo Fotograficzne, curator of Galeria Fotografii Ratusz, Piotr Komajda – Jury member, photographer, board member of Zamojskie Towarzystwo Fotograficzne, and Agata Jaworska-Pogudz – photographer, visual artist specializing in graphic techniques, architect. The “Dorośli” category’s Photograph of the Year title and a cash prize of PLN 1000 went to Robert Bogacz for the work “Przyjaciele” (Friends). Equivalent distinctions in the “Dorośli” category were awarded to: Wiesława Bajko for the work “Pobudka” (Awakening), Magdalena Chudzik for the work “Tańczące łodzie” (Dancing Boats), Jan Jaskuła for the work “Rzeźby na plaży” (Sculptures on the Beach), and Piotr Dras for the work “Tryptyk stoczniowy 1” (Shipyard Triptych 1). Additionally, Jury Chairman Andrzej Pogudz decided to award a special distinction to Karolina Szyszka, the President of ZTF, for the work “Architektoniczna harmonia” (Architectural Harmony). Maksymilian Borusiewicz “Siła żywiołu” (The Power of Elements). The competition and post-competition exhibition were organized thanks to the financial support of the City of Zamość.
