The past weekend was full of events at the Dotyk Jury. It started on Saturday with the City Children’s Day under the patronage of the Mayor of Myszków, Włodzimierz Żak. “Dear children, I wish you to always be joyful, smiling, and loved,” said Deputy Mayor Iwona Franelak, starting the Saturday celebration.
It was fun and educational. We could see dance performances of all age groups by F.T.E. Pokusy. The association “Moc Pokoleń” once again delighted children and parents with an educational, colorful performance “Frogs and storks”, the musical accompaniment – a concert of soloists and bands provided by the Song and Music Studio of the Municipal Cultural Center, and the theatrical performance “The Bee” concluded Saturday’s celebration. Of course, in addition to these attractions, there were also free bouncy castles and a variety of other activities. The entire Saturday event was prepared by the Municipal Cultural Center in cooperation with the Environmental Protection and Communal Economy Department of the Local Government, whose employees conducted a consultation point for the “Clean Air” program at Dotyk Jury.
44th International Five Ponds Run
Sunday morning brought together over 250 runners and Nordic walking enthusiasts. “I warmly welcome all of you, it is my great pleasure as the host of the city and this event to welcome you to the annual 44th Five Ponds Run. The weather was as usual on our side, and you have the charms of the route as a bonus,” said Mayor Włodzimierz Żak. This year, for the first time, the main race route was 21km, with a shorter distance of 11km for the Nordic walking fans. Of course, there was also a race for preschoolers at a 100m distance, and youth in different age groups could compete on distances from 300m to 1500m. The event was organized by MOSiR Myszków in cooperation with the organizer of many local runs, Andrzej Jakóbczak. The organizers would like to thank all the sponsors of the run and the volunteer fire departments.

Family Picnic “Safe Myszków”
Sunday afternoon brought together families at Dotyk Jury. The annual picnic “Safe Myszków”, which our Municipal Guard initiated a few years ago, gathers a large number of the city’s residents every year. Listening to parents’ voices, we returned to the road traffic zone and bicycle license exam. The youngest could see up close what the life of pirates looked like in the “Pirate Village”, while adults could confront themselves with alcohol goggles, feel how important seatbelts are in a car, and experience a rollover simulator. Of course, bouncy castles, bubbles, and other attractions complemented the event. The organizers of the event were: Municipal Guard, Municipal Social Welfare Center, Municipal Cultural Center, Department of Culture and Sports Promotion, Parents’ Council at Primary School No. 2 with the support and participation of Police Officers from the Traffic Department of the Myszków Police Headquarters.
