On Saturday, November 30, 2024, the JUBILEE XXX Police Championships in bench press were held in Police. Over 60 competitors participated in the competition and Drawsko Pomorskie was represented by two athletes from the Rufian Jankowo Strength Sports Association: Mateusz Rufkiewicz and Leszek Pasieka. The competition took place in age and weight categories, including women, juniors under 19, juniors under 23, seniors, veterans over 40 years old, veterans over 50 years old, and veterans over 60 years old. The placement in each category was converted into points. After counting all the points scored by the competitors, the Rufian Jankowo Strength Sports Association team took fifth place.
Individual results for Team Rufian:
– Veteran category over 60 years old: 1st place Leszek Pasieka with a result of 175 kg
– Senior category in the weight class up to 95 kg: 2nd place Mateusz Rufkiewicz with a result of 205 kg
– Open category among all competitors: 3rd place Mateusz Rufkiewicz
After a very intense year in terms of competition participation, this was the final competition for members of the Rufian Jankowo Strength Sports Association in 2024. The participation of Rufian Jankowo Strength Sports Association athletes in these Championships was made possible thanks to the funding from the Municipality of Drawsko Pomorskie for the public task “Creating conditions, including the development of sports in the Municipality of Drawsko Pomorskie in 2024”.
