To encourage residents to fill out surveys honestly as part of the new waste management system, Mayor Włodzimierz Żak announced a contest with interesting prizes in May of this year. As can be seen from the survey returns, we will have to wait a while longer for a fully citizen-friendly society. Nevertheless, there were those who filled out the surveys in a most honest way, thus helping in the implementation of the new waste management system.
On November 19, by decree, the mayor appointed the contest committee composed of:
Wioletta Dworaczyk – chairperson (Head of the Department of Environmental Protection and Municipal Economy)
Karolina Słabosz – secretary (employee of the Department of Environmental Protection and Municipal Economy)
Eligiusz Uchnast – member (city councilor of Myszkow)
Jan Kotowicz – member (city councilor of Myszkow)
Jan Rajchel – member (city resident)
The committee selected the winners from the surveys received. 10 families from the city area received composters: Irena Surówka, Eliza and Tadeusz Bijak, Agnieszka Sionek, Teresa Hyla, Dariusz Jeziorski, Joanna Hadzińska, Wanda Cupiał, Ewelina Głomska, Andrzej Głomski, Marianna and Tadeusz Płaczek, Marek Sus, Maria Frączek.
Meanwhile, the main prize, a 40-inch Samsung TV, was awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Genowefa and Henryk Bublowie. The prize presentation by the mayor took place on December 4 in the Castle Hall of the City Hall. This meeting was also an opportunity for discussions about the city, which the attendees fully utilized. Congratulations to the winners and we invite residents to participate in future contests.
