On March 29, at the invitation of the Mayor of Włodzimierz Żak, representatives of the Voivodeship Road Board, designers, representatives of the Siewierz Municipality, and the District Starosty in Myszków came to the City Hall to discuss the project of the reconstruction of road no. 793.
After the presentation of the situational plans by the designers, during the discussion, we made the following comments on the project:
– inclusion of new bus stops/bays for both directions of traffic – at the height of blocks 68/70 on Kościuszki Street and near the District Police Headquarters,
– a new location of the exit at SP3, a one-way road connecting the voivodeship road with 3 Maja Street,
– maintaining the left turn from the viaduct towards Kopernika Street,
– an analysis of the roundabout capacity at the District Starosty, in order to adopt appropriate solutions regarding heavy vehicle traffic,
– an analysis of the exit to the gas station with the possible widening or a proposal for a new exit to improve the exit from the parking lot near the residential building on Pułaskiego Street 7,
– reconstruction of the existing culvert at the intersection with the internal road to the Tax Office,
– designing a sidewalk on Pułaskiego Street from the intersection to Strugi Street,
– widening the exit to the dormitory building on Pułaskiego Street,
– construction of a sidewalk from the intersection with Wyzwolenia Street and Folwarczna Street to SP No. 7 in Będusz and to the buildings on Pułaskiego Street, to the city limits with the Siewierz Municipality,
– designation of a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Czarnieckiego Street and Pińczycka Street,
– maintaining the locations of bus stops, especially on the stretch from Kowalczyki Street to Smudzówka Street, and the possibility of bringing bus bays closer together to use the sheltered bus stops located only on one side of the street,
– planning a bus stop mast on the other side of Pińczycka Street due to the removal of the existing bus shelter.
Two intersection (roundabout) variants presented by the designers were considered in front of the City Hall. We accepted a solution that will not block the exit from Kościuszki Street – from the side of Plac Dworcowy. The type of street lighting will be analyzed and agreed upon with the interested municipalities.
