Detailed conditions for providing financial assistance to students for the purchase of textbooks and educational materials in the 2015/2016 school year within the government program for student assistance in 2015 – “School Kit”
The information is prepared based on the following legal regulations: Resolution No. 80/2015 of the Council of Ministers of June 23, 2015 on the Government program for student assistance in 2015 – “School Kit” and the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of June 23, 2015 on detailed conditions for providing financial assistance to students for the purchase of textbooks and educational materials (Journal of Laws of July 2, 2015, item 938).
The application should be submitted to the school director to which the student will attend.
The deadline for submitting applications in schools – by September 8, 2015.
All information regarding obtaining financial support is provided in schools where students eligible for assistance will attend.
DETAILED INFORMATION I. Eligible students and criteria to be met in order to receive financial assistance:
1. Assistance in the form of funding for the purchase of textbooks for general education or textbooks for vocational education approved for school use will be granted to students attending school in the 2015/2016 school year: ● in the 3rd grade of primary school, ● in the 3rd grade of general music school level I ● in the 4th grade of technical school
The above-mentioned students are granted funding based on the income criterion: students from families with a monthly income per person in the family not exceeding PLN 574 net – in addition to the income criterion: students from families whose income per person exceeds the income criterion, in cases specified in art. 7 of the Act of March 12, 2004 on social assistance (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 163 and 693), i.e., when the family experiences, among others: poverty, orphanhood, homelessness, unemployment, disability, long-term or severe illness, domestic violence, need for maternal or multiplicity protection, helplessness in care and educational matters and household management, especially in incomplete or multiple families, alcoholism or drug addiction, chance event, or crisis situation.
2. Assistance in the form of funding for the purchase of textbooks for general education, including vocational education textbooks approved for school use, will be granted to students: 1) with low vision, 2) deaf, 3) hard of hearing, 4) with mild intellectual disability, 5) with moderate or severe intellectual disability, 6) with motor disabilities, including aphasia, 7) with autism, including Asperger’s syndrome, 8) with combined disabilities, in cases where one of the disabilities is one of those listed in points 1-7
– with a certificate of the need for special education – regardless of family income – attending school in the 2015/2016 school year at schools for children and youth: – primary schools, excluding classes I, II, and IV or general music schools level I, excluding class I, – lower secondary schools, excluding class I, general music schools level II, excluding class I, general arts schools, excluding class I, ballet schools, excluding classes I and IV, – upper secondary schools: vocational schools, general high schools, technical schools or special schools preparing for work for students with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities and students with combined disabilities, general arts schools, art schools, or ballet schools, – art schools.
In the case of students with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities and students with combined disabilities, where one of the disabilities is moderate or severe intellectual disability – assistance in the form of funding will also be provided for the purchase of educational materials. This does not apply to students with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities and students with combined disabilities, where one of the disabilities is moderate or severe intellectual disability, attending classes I and II of primary school in the 2015/2016 school year, if these students benefit from a free textbook for early childhood education provided by the Ministry of National Education.
