Elderly residents of Dolny Brzeg went on a two-day sightseeing trip to Piechowice and Szklarska Poręba. In Piechowice, they visited the Julia Crystal Glassworks. While visiting the production halls with a guide, they could see with their own eyes the process of creating crystal vessels – grinding, decorating, coloring glass, quality control, and packaging the product for shipment. At the end of the tour of the glassworks, the seniors listened to a short concert of music played on crystal vessels by the guide. After a successful stay at the glassworks in Piechowice, we set off on towards Szklarska Poręba. On the way, we stopped near the Szklarka Waterfall, which is one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in the Karkonosze Mountains. It looks spectacular, with beautiful views both in summer and winter. In the afternoon, we went to a shelter for rest and dinner. The next day, we visited the Forest Glassworks in Szklarska Poręba. We took part in glass decorating workshops under the guidance of an instructor. Everyone engraved a glass, which they took home as a souvenir. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate that day, as it was raining. However, this did not prevent us from hearing many interesting facts about Szklarska Poręba, which is a beautiful place known primarily for its picturesque mountain landscapes and numerous tourist attractions. In the evening, we returned home.
