Almost 9 million tons of food, from which 18 million meals for people in great need could be made. This is the simplest way to summarize 20 years of the Christmas Food Collection. Last year, food from the Collection reached 230,000 people. Now it will be conducted in 3,500 stores, 500 locations, and by 50,000 volunteers. November 25-27 – everything really depends on the upcoming weekend. Food Banks are asking for help from the media to publicize the information, because no one should be left without food for the holidays!
– In the research we conducted, three quarters of Poles want to share what they buy at the store with others. This is a huge potential for kindness towards those who would not have such a Christmas without help, like all of us. And yet they have the right to the same happiness – emphasizes Marek Borowski, President of the Polish Federation of Food Banks.
This year, Food Banks are very interested in the following products: oil, sugar, vegetable and fruit preserves, sweets, canned food, flour, and dried fruits. – This year, the Christmas Food Collection will take place under the slogan “Add Flavor to the Holidays. Everyone deserves a special Christmas.” Sharing food is the most beautiful, everyday gesture that shows how much we care about others. And the desire for those others to have equally great holidays as we do is proof that Poles know what empathy means – explains Anna Kołnierzak from the Polish Federation of Food Banks, who for many years was a volunteer during the Christmas Food Collection.
The Christmas Food Collection will also be conducted online at www.charytatywni.allegro.pl – it will last from November 25 until December 31. Partners This year, the strategic partners of the Christmas Food Collection are the producer of herbs and spices under the Kamis brand – McCormick Polska company. The Jubilee partners are Lidl and Tesco as well as Saatchi and Saatchi.

The collection will take place in stores of the following retail chains: Tesco, Lidl, Auchan, Real, Biedronka, Stokrotka, Kaufland, Intermarche, Mila, Polomarket, Netto.
