The city is applying for EU funding for the reconstruction of Jedwabna street!

In November 2009, employees of the Myszków City Hall submitted an application to the Marshal’s Office in Katowice for funding from the European Union for the reconstruction of the road on Jedwabna Street, along with rainwater drainage.

The application was submitted to the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship for the years 2007-2013 under Sub-measure 7.1.2. Modernization and expansion of complementary infrastructure to the key road network.

The value of this investment is 4,498,832 PLN and the requested funding is 3,774,749.70 PLN, which constitutes 85% of the project’s eligible costs.

The application passed the formal evaluation positively and was forwarded for further substantive and technical assessment.

“If the application receives a positive evaluation during the substantive and technical assessment, and the Marshal’s Office in Katowice will have sufficient EU funds to finance this task, then Jedwabna Street will be reconstructed with sidewalks over a length of 1,212 meters.” – said Janusz Romaniuk, the Mayor of Myszków.

As a reminder, the Myszków City Hall obtained over 9 million PLN in grants last year, including for the construction of sanitary sewage on this street, which will be completed before the road reconstruction.
