The development of educational infrastructure in the county.

The Czarnków-Trzcianka County has completed the implementation of the project “Supporting the development of educational infrastructure in the area of the School Complex in Trzcianka,” co-financed by the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Poznań. The project was implemented as part of the call for applications in the field of environmental education for the year 2024. As part of the project, a publicly accessible didactic-educational base was created on the premises of the School Complex in Trzcianka, which will be used for conducting classes in the field of environmental education. The whole consists of a meteorological garden equipped with a meteorological cage with measuring devices, a measurement field, a mechanical Wild wind gauge, a Hellmann rain gauge, an automatic meteorological station on a measuring mast, and educational paths in the field of biodiversity and climate consisting of six thematic boards and an educational basket, an educational shelter with a theme of a flower meadow and insects, a bird-themed educational bench, an educational bench informing about renewable energy sources and an educational waste segregation basket, as well as a perennial flower meadow, nesting boxes for various categories of birds, insect houses, and bat houses. The base equipment also includes an LED screen with PM10 and PM2.5 air quality sensors, a solar lamp with a solar panel, and three containers for wastewater with an information board on collecting rainwater and renewable energy sources. Thanks to the created didactic-educational base, students from the county schools and county residents will get to know and appreciate the value of the natural environment and its exploration by humans, and will also be able to check the level of air pollution with dust daily. The educational path will contribute to the dissemination of ecological knowledge about biodiversity and the importance of nature for the quality of human life, as well as raising awareness of rational waste management, actions for soil and land protection – methods of waste disposal, storage, recycling, recovery options, ways to reduce the amount of waste, segregation rules, hazardous waste. And through equipping the meteorological garden with measuring and research devices, students from the School Complex in Trzcianka, as well as students from other schools in the Czarnków-Trzcianka County, will have the opportunity to conduct many ecological research projects.
