The next Retro meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Resursa. This time the hero of the event will be Franciszek Troll – a hero in a navy blue uniform. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. March is a time of special remembrance of our compatriots who rescued Jews during the German occupation. In connection with this, the Historical Reconstruction Group of the 3rd District of the State Police Department in Radom will commemorate the figure of one of these silent heroes – Commissioner Franciszek Andrzej Troll. Sub-Inspector Marcin Tuzinek and the hero’s family members – Maciej Troll and Urszula Dobek – will introduce his character. Sub-Inspector Paweł Łuk-Murawski will talk about the daily service and uniforms of pre-war police officers, and President of the 1939 Police Family Association in Łódź, Jarosław Olbrychowski will talk about the fate of the “navy blues” after September 17, 1939. Participants can enjoy a special treat straight from the “coffee country” and receive a commemorative postcard with the portrait of the hero of the meeting.
