The mayor took an oath.

On December 14th, in the session hall of the Myszków City Hall, Mayor Włodzimierz Żak took a solemn oath. A few days earlier, he received a certificate of election as the Mayor of the City from Krzysztof Borowik, the Chairman of the City Election Commission.

“I am aware of the responsibility that rests on me and the difficult situation the city is in now. Many people have placed their hopes in me and I will do everything not to disappoint them,” said W. Żak shortly after taking the oath. During the further deliberations of the session, he also declared active cooperation with the City Council for the development of Myszków. “I want to be an effective mayor, change something in the city, and build together. It is important to me that we support each other intellectually,” said the mayor during his speech to the council members.

After his speech, Mayor Włodzimierz Żak received congratulations and flowers from colleagues at the Katowice Special Economic Zone, as well as from Myszków District Governor Leon Okraska.

Profile of the new mayor: Włodzimierz Żak is a graduate of the University of Economics in Katowice. For several years, he worked at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Ministry of State Treasury, and the Katowice Special Economic Zone. He has completed numerous courses in the country and abroad, including in market economics, financial analysis of companies, corporate restructuring, EU project management, negotiation with investors, investment project analysis, and business control in special economic zones. Włodzimierz Żak is also a lecturer at the WSB University in Poznań, in the Chorzów branch, where he teaches economics and financial analysis to students.
