16 teams competed on February 24th and 25th at the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Brzeg Dolny in the Zenon Nowak Memorial, in honor of the unforgettable coach, educator, and football enthusiast. The tournament featured teams of young players from Brzeg Dolny, Wołów, Wińsko, Dobrzykowice, Pęgów, Malczyce, Trzebnica, Rzeczyca, and Miękinia. On the first day of the tournament, the young orlik teams competed. The team AP Brzeg Dolny I emerged as the winner, followed by MKP Wołów in second place, and AP Gool Wołów in third. The next day, in the Żak tournament, Akademia Piłkarska Brzeg Dolny I took the top spot, with Grot Malczyce in second, and GKS Polonia Trzebnica in third.
“Andrzej Nowak was a man for whom football was a passion. He infected children and youth with this passion and did it with heart” – said Deputy Mayor of Brzeg Dolny, Artur Michałek, who participated in awarding the best teams and players of the tournament. The ceremony was also attended by Zenon Nowak’s son, Andrzej Nowak, Robert Woźniak and Jacek Jacyszyn from Akademia Piłkarska Brzeg Dolny, Krzysztof Jaworski from Jawka-Football, former Jagiellonia Białystok coach, Ireneusz Mamrot, Piotr Bolkowski, and Ireneusz Pisching. The competition was organized by Akademia Piłkarska Brzeg Dolny and Jawka-Football.
