Victory Day

May 8th is a very important date for Europe. It is on this day that World War II ended and National Victory Day is celebrated.

To honor those who fought for an independent Poland, the Mayor of Myszków Włodzimierz Żak, Deputy Mayor Iwona Franelak, and City Secretary Sławomir Matyja laid flowers at the Monument of the Fallen for the Land of Myszków and lit a symbolic candle.

On behalf of the City Council, flowers were laid by the Vice-Chair of the City Council Zofia Jastrzębska and councilor Sławomir Jałowiec.

The Myszków County was represented by Secretary Krystyna Jasińska, board member Jolanta Koral, councilor Andrzej Jastrzębski, and County Treasurer Emilia Bąchor-Neszczyńska.

Representing the uniformed services, flowers were laid by the County Police Commander Insp. Mgr. Marcin Lemański and Deputy County Commander of the State Fire Service Capt. Mateusz Nocuń.

The school youth was represented by the flag bearers from Public Schools No. 3, students along with their supervisor Roman Witas.

As every year, the ceremonies concluded with a group photo.
