On March 10th at the Polish School at the Polish Cultural Society in Kovel, a ceremony was held to celebrate International Women’s Day. In the walls of our school, we welcomed the most deserving members of the Polish Cultural Society in Kovel, parents, and students. At the beginning, the President of the Polish Cultural Society in Kovel, Anatolij Herka, extended his warmest wishes for health to all the ladies, and above all for peace in Ukraine and in the world. The students, prepared by Irena Herka and Valeria Marchuk, presented an artistic program, consisting of Polish and Ukrainian songs, as well as beautiful poems by Polish poets. The students also expressed their wishes to the members of our society, mothers, and grandmothers. During this performance, Anhelina Piven presented her original song prepared for the second anniversary of the war in Ukraine. She received great applause for it. We are delighted to have such a great talent in our school. After the performance, Lila Batura spoke on behalf of all the ladies, thanking for the beautiful artistic performance and the moments of forgetting the terrible reality of war. Then, the gathered ladies were presented with gifts, and the performers received sweets.
