Applications for the school starter kit under the “Good Start” program can be submitted until the end of November this year. In the Silesian Voivodeship, 482,000 benefits totaling PLN 145 million have already been paid out. The verification of applications and payment of benefits is almost 100% automated.
From July 1st to November 30th, applications for a school starter kit of PLN 300 can be submitted under the “Good Start” program. This year, the application for benefits can only be submitted electronically – through the Electronic Services Platform (PUE) of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), online banking, or the Emp@tia portal.
National data shows that ZUS has already paid out nearly PLN 1.3 billion for 4.3 million children under the “Good Start” program. The highest number of benefits went to residents of Mazovia, with over 635,000, followed by the Silesian Voivodeship with 482,000 benefits for the school starter kit.
– ZUS has been efficiently handling this new task from the very beginning. The interest in the “Good Start” program is very high. Acceptance and processing of applications are seamless. The majority of applications have been processed automatically, which has relieved the workload of employees. Most people have already submitted their applications – said Professor Gertruda Uścińska, President of ZUS.
The PLN 300+ benefit is granted once a year for a child attending school, until the age of 20 or 24 if they are disabled.
– Anyone who applies for benefits under the “Good Start” program (also through online banking or the Emp@tia portal) will find all the information regarding their application and its processing on the PUE ZUS portal (application processing status, detailed information about the benefit) – reminds Beata Kopczyńska, Regional Press Spokesperson of ZUS in the Silesian Voivodeship. The PUE ZUS portal will also contain all correspondence with ZUS regarding the benefit application (requests to complete the application or attachments, information on the grant of the benefit, decision to deny the benefit).
This benefit is paid out only to a bank account.
